It has been said the internet has leveled the playing field for all business both big and small to be able to market to the world, 7/24. That may have been true in the beginning when there seemed to be only one rule used to achieve a high ranking/position on the search engines, and that rule was the number of 'Key Words'.
The volume of web sites on the internet today has changed the rules. Taking the course on 'Web Positioning' has taught me what the new rules are as well as how to apply them. I have never enjoyed doing a course or learning a skill more, than by taking the JER's Tutorial on Website Positioning! Based on my own website Geri's Recovery Music's success over the past year, I had already developed an interest and started into a new career, without even realizing it. I was so pleased that when "Geri" was put into the Meta Crawler search engine, I usually came up first ahead of all the Geri Spice Girl's sites! But when I started taking the course I learned a good 75% more information that I wasn't aware of even after researching the internet for the past year. I have learned more from this course than I could have learned from buying books. The hands on approach works really well, and as for results, going from 1 or 2 in the top 10 to over 20 in the top 10 has been great for our web traffic which has gone from 100 avg. hits per day to 550 avg. hits per day! Web Position Gold is great, but most important is the Search Engine Forums that teaches you invaluable information and tips to apply what you learn in the course. 2 Thumbs Up!

I am thrilled with the results of the six week workshop in web positioning that I have just completed. With a brand new site that had never been submitted to any search engine, I went from non-existent to a #2 position in AltaVista on one of my keyword phrases, even though I did not even submit a page until three weeks into the class. In fact, I now hold the #3 position, as well!
When I remember that AltaVista has 100 million documents indexed, even the pages that are closer to 200 are amazing to me. With WebPosition Gold, and the knowledge gained from the Web Position Workshop, I expect to be able to quickly bring those rankings higher. In fact, pages for the same site, on another keyword phrase, have already risen from 127and 128 to 91 and 92 respectively!
